We can investigate feedback about works that may have been carried out without permission. However, we cannot prevent works that do not follow our planning policy and/or do not fall under the Planning Act 1998. Information must be provided to the best of your knowledge and it will be treated with confidentiality. We will assess based on the information provided. Our decision on whether action will be taken is final.

Upon submission, you will receive an automated reply within 24 hours to affirm that your feedback has been received and is being worked on.

A planning infringement takes place when a development or a change of use is carried out without the required planning permission; or failing to comply with any condition attached to a planning approval. Hence, it is important that details of the activity or works corresponds with the planning infringement type.

What We Do With The Information You Have Provided

1. We may ask for additional information for our assessment.
2. We do not investigate alleged breaches of planning control from anonymous sources.
3. We will cease investigation, in most circumstances, if your contact details are found to be false.
4. We will not investigate complaints believed to be malicious, spurious or after provisional checks are found to be without basis.
